Xabi Aburruzaga (Portugalete 1978) Since very young he had clear that his passion was music. He began studying music with only 7 years and a year later began playing the piano accordion.

After winning several awards with the accordion, he decided to change to the diatonic accordion. His father takes him where his friend Rufino Arrola from the town of Andrakas and, the same day, they left the town with a new diatonic accordion. From that day until now he has never been separated of his beloved "Triki". Along with Irkus Ansotegi (his pandero player until nowadays) form one of the most actively duets of Biscay scenario. Virtuous of the "Triki", big fan of many types of music (folk, world, jazz and especially the merger), his facet as a composer is not reflected until the year 1999 when he recorded his first demo with 4 songs written by him and getting a good review of the public.

A year later, in 2000, he composed the song for Karmelo School, in Bilbao and recorded a CD.

Between 2001 and 2002 he started with his Trikitixa school project called "TRIKILEKU" which now has dozens of students from across the geography of Biscay.

In 2002 he's charged to do the song of Bermeo fests, and this new project culminates with the release of the CD "Egunaro Egunaro Kalien" in which important musicians as Mikel Urdangarin or Joseba Tapia and Iñaki Aurrekoetxea among others, work together.

In 2004 composed the music for the Ibilaldi with Fredi Paia and Alberto Rodriguez also with the collaboration of many friends: Oreka TX, Roberto Moso, Eñaut Elorrieta, etc..

In 2005 goes on sale "Bizkaiko trikitixa", a song book that, as Xabi explains, is a jewel because it collects the musical works of that musicians who are being disappearing, and with them their works.

In 2006 he begins to take the first steps of what will be the album "Bizkaiko trikitixa", while combines his commitments between Euskadi and abroad.

In 2007 transcribes the music of the book "Faustino Azpiazu Sakabi". Unstoppable ... This year, in different phases, he records the work "Bizkaiko Trikitixa" with wich he tries to reach a wider audience with a more universal approach, from the tradition.
For this work also has great musicians like Mikel Markez, Amaia Oreja, Leturia, Xabi Zeberio, etc..

In 2009 his last work has been published, the album "Denboraren Naufrago". With this work, his own compositions and themes see the light. Through this project, Xabi invites the listener to dive into an imaginary journey through the music that have inspired the most important times and places of his life. The listener will have the opportunity to read the lyrics by Kirmen Uribe accompanying the music.

He is currently preparing new projects; he combines the lessons with their performances and collaborates with the group Oskorri.
